Yoga and its impact on our lives

Well let’s start that certainly different people have different perspectives to what is yoga for them, I would say the understanding of yoga can be very subjective and unique to each individual. Some do yoga to be increase flexibility, others engage in it to lose a weight and for some it’s “creates mental clarity and calmness; increases body awareness; relieves chronic stress patterns; relaxes the mind; centers attention; and sharpens concentration” says Dr. Nevins.

But in general, as per Johns Hopkins Medicine institute there are main 9 benefits for everyone, because yoga does not differentiate by age. I think there is much more benefits to yoga especially adding to your everyday routine can be incredibly beneficial for your physical and mental well-being. Some of the 9 benefits are that Yoga improves strength, balance, and flexibility. It helps with back pain relief. It actually does, especially when you come back after long workday, where you have been sitting for 8-10 hours. It can ese arthritis symptoms, such as swollen joints and benefits heart health. One of the benefits that I personally have seen is that yoga relaxes, and helps to sleep, particularly if you practice it at night, just before sleeping. It also gives you more energy and brighter mood as well as helps manage the stress.

And the most important is that yoga promotes self-care, this is crucial in nowadays world, where it is challenging to find a time in a day to do something for yourself.
